iWitness

...God is all around us but we move so fast we miss Him.
I've been in a place for awhile where the Holy Spirit shows me where God is during the ins and outs of everyday life...

I have a couple of kids, an awesome wife, and a trail running dog. Together we are seeking God and letting His love spill out on the broken and forgotten.

I believe God has given me a voice that might speak to you too...join us.

rubberbands in the hand of Love

We are stretched and pulled in many directions. Our time, our finances, our votes, our patience.

Often we feel we are pulled in so many directions at once we fear we will break...and often we do.

The results can be deviating, to us and those around us.

Is this why we fear being pulled and challenged by God in ways we cannot control?

The Psalmist asked God how he could pulled in opposite direction;

Alongside Babylon's rivers we sat on the banks;
we cried and cried, remembering the good old days in Zion.
   Alongside the quaking aspens we stacked our unplayed harps;
That's where our captors demanded songs, sarcastic and mocking: "Sing us a happy Zion song!"
 Oh, how could we ever sing God's song in this wasteland?
Psalm 137:1-4

Jesus said when we are opened to the truth that there is something more to life than what we wear, eat and sit (see Matthew 6:25ff) we will be stretched, especially to the point of breaking.

If you grasp and cling to life on your terms, you’ll lose it,
but if you let that life go, you’ll get life on God’s terms.
Luke 17:33

If you have been given the gift of faith, it must be used.
Lamps don't belong under baskets, do they?
Voices cannot remain silent, should they?

A rubber at rest does nothing but sit.
