when the road ain't so winding....but it's long

"what would your school look like in heaven?"
......

"no lockers"...yeah, no one will steal stuff

"no school nurse"...yeah, no on will get sick

"no more fighting or arguing"

.....  and in my mind I add "no more lock down drills"

We had been reading our family devotional and I couldn't get past my own tears longing for Christ to return.

Most days, I simply can't walk any more....
all I see in front of me are miles and miles.

My feet ache,
my back is sore,
and i smell...

yet, I walk.

Others try to encourage me from the sidelines,
like they dowhen I run a marathon...

but they aren't running my race.

I can see the finish and I know the prize, so I keep running...
foot, foot, foot.

Sometimes I run, sometimes I walk, sometimes I have to stop...

but I keep moving.

He did it. He is worth it

Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!
